FAQ's
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. Why do safety orientation hard hat stickers use sequential numbers?
Numbered Hard Hat Stickers help identify workers or show those who finished safety training. The sequential numbers on the stickers are unique to each worker, making it easy to track, recognize, and keep records. These numbers can link to employee records, show where someone is, and indicate their training level, attendance, or other information.
2. Why can't I ship to my job-site?
We cannot ship to job-sites due the occurrences of lost and returned packages at job-sites. We primarily use the USPS to deliver our shipment services to registered addresses within the USPS database. If a valid address is NOT input when you make your purchase, you will NOT be able to check-out and receive tracking for your order / package.
3. My order was not delivered?
Check your email for a tracking number from your order. If your order was sent to a recipient with an incorrect / invalid address, the order will be returned to us. You will be sent a link to purchase another label to have your order re-shipped. The original order has shipping paid for at the time of purchase. If you received free shipping, you will have to pay for re-shipment upon package return. CONSTRUCTIONSTICKER.COM IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS!
4. Why can't I order a single safety orientation sticker?
We cannot produce orders for individuals printing their own safety orientation stickers. ONLY A COMPANY CAN DISTRIBUTE SAFETY ORIENTATION CREDENTIALS. We do not supply orders for single safety orientation (sequential) hard hat stickers. WE CAN ONLY PRODUCE ORDERS OF 25 OR MORE SAFETY ORIENTATION STICKERS. We have been contacted by the Department of Homeland Security to disallow individuals from purchasing single safety orientation stickers, due to the incidents of persons falsifying their credentials in order to sneak onto secure job-sites. Also, it is NOT cost feasible for us to produce single custom stickers. Please be aware, IF YOU ORDER A SINGLE CUSTOM SAFETY ORIENTATION STICKER, YOUR ORDER WILL BE CANCELED.
5. What is the best way to apply my stickers?
For best results, make sure the surface you are applying to is cleaned with alcohol to remove dirt and debris before applying the sticker. Be sure the center of the sticker is the first part to make contact with the hard hat. From the center, gently work your way to the sides. Before pressing the decal firmly to the hard hat, make sure all sides are lightly stuck down. At first it will look like there are wrinkles. Smooth out the wrinkles, making sure to work around the decal evenly, so it does not bunch on one side. As always, follow manufacturer guidelines regarding the use of hard hat stickers; if you have a question, contact your safety professional.
6. What is the best shape for my custom stickers?
We offer hard hat labels in a variety of shapes and sizes, but the shape you choose is ultimately up to you. In general, larger labels tend to be harder to apply without wrinkles or air bubbles. Smaller circular labels and equilateral triangles with slightly curved sides are the easiest to apply to most hard hat surfaces.
7. What is the right size for my custom safety stickers?
The "sweet spot" for a hard hat decal is usually 2" or less. At that size, the label is conspicuous, but still easy to apply. Bigger isn’t always better, because oversized decals can make it more difficult to properly inspect your hard hat for damage.
8. How are QR codes used on hard hat safety stickers?
QR codes on hard hat stickers can serve various purposes related to safety, identification, and information management. Workers can use smartphones or dedicated QR code scanners to quickly access the information encoded in the QR code. Here are some common uses:
- Identification and Tracking: The QR code can contain information like name, employee ID, job title, emergency contact details, and specific medical information of the wearer.
- Safety Training and Certification: When scanned, the QR code may direct the user to a webpage/app that confirms their safety training or certification status.
- Site-specific Information: The QR code can link to site-specific information, such as evacuation plans, hazard warnings, permits, licenses, real-time updates, announcements, important messages related to a project, or any other necessary credentials.
- Equipment Inspection and Maintenance: QR codes can be used to track the inspection and maintenance history of the hard hat or other safety equipment. Scanning the QR code can provide information on when the equipment was last inspected and if it is due for maintenance.
